I found this root in a field near Saint Arnould. It was fairly fragile externally, until following cleaning and hollowing, I applied the lacquer which consolidated the bark.
The work has a nice feel, but was difficult to name: it has the face of a hedgehog, the tail of a squirrel, but looks like a boxer's glove. Then another day I saw a Marmot in the mountains... and that was it.
